Male Victims

Men can be a victim of domestic abuse in both heterosexual and same sex relationships.
Men experiencing domestic abuse may feel that their masculinity is being taken away or that they are weak.

The advice is the same for both male and female victims of domestic abuse so the other sections of this site should be referred to. 

 

Getting Help
 
 Domestic Abuse Support Service (DASS) provide community based support across the county and accepts self referral from victims of any sex or sexual orientation:

 Men Reaching Out are a Bradford based support service offering a helpline to support all male survivors from across the UK.   The helpline volunteers at Men Reaching Out have particular expertise in supporting men who have been subjected to forced marriage and so-called Honour Based Violence.  Any male survivor across the UK can the Men Reaching Out confidential helpline for support on 01274 731020 Or email: menreachingout@beapcp.com. The helpline service is open: 10am – 3pm, Monday to Thursday.
